Challenge:
Olive Bars
Our production facility, still in its original building, is located in the hills not far outside Rome in the Historical town of Castel Madama (The “Castle of the Lady” – referring to its famous fourteenth century landlord, Margaret of Austria, Duchess of Parma and daugter of Emperor Charles V).
Ficacci’s building structure has been modified and enlarged continuously in order to keep up with our increasing volume of business trough out the years.
This past year we implemented some important structural work that allow us to comply with the more demanding Health and Safety international regulations of BRC and IFS; these certifications were received by Ficacci in December 2007.
In the next year we will relocate into a new production facility of about 10,000 meters, that is built in the same town of Castel Madama.
WE CURRENTLY HAVE 8 PRODUCTION LINES:
• 2 are “vertical” Packaging Lines for the 200 grams and 1.5 kilo bags.
• 1 “vertical” Packaging Line for bags of 2 to 4 kilo.
• 2 “horizontal” Packaging Lines with various product options used for the production of trays and buckets of 150 grams to 3 kilo.
• 1 “horizontal” production line specifically for 3 kilo trays.
• 1 production line for the production of OVEN ROASTED olives
• And 1 “thermo-former” machine for the packing of pates’ of olives in small trays of 50 grams. Our current daily production capability is of circa 50,000 single packed items or circa 15,000 kilos of olives.
